Psychotherapy for adults
Sometimes life brings us to a point where the usual ways of coping aren't enough. Relationships feel strained. Work feels meaningless. Old patterns keep surfacing, or something has happened that's hard to make sense of alone.
Psychotherapy offers a confidential, professionally held space to explore what's troubling you — not to be fixed or advised, but to be heard, and to begin to understand yourself more clearly.
If you're wondering whether therapy might help, the most useful first step is a conversation.
What you might bring
People come to therapy for many different reasons. Some of the concerns Laura works with include: anxiety, worry, and overwhelm; depression and low mood; relationship difficulties — with partners, family, or colleagues; identity, self-esteem, and self-worth; life transitions — bereavement, career change, relocation, separation; trauma and its effects; cultural identity and the experience of living between worlds; neurodivergence — navigating ADHD, autism, or AuDHD traits in daily life; and workplace stress and burnout.
How it works
Sessions are 50 minutes, once weekly, in person or online. Laura works both short-term and longer-term depending on what you're working through. The first step is a brief introductory call — no commitment required — to talk through what's brought you to seek support and whether working together feels like a good fit.
An initial consultation (up to 80 minutes) follows, giving space to explore in more depth, discuss the practicalities, and agree a way of working. Fees are discussed during the introductory call. Concessions may be available for students and those on lower incomes.
Laura's approach
Laura is an integrative psychotherapist, drawing on relational, psychodynamic, and humanistic approaches rather than applying a single fixed model. She tailors her approach to each individual.
Having lived across the Asia-Pacific region before relocating to the UK, Laura brings a genuinely global perspective to her practice, and is particularly experienced in working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and minority communities.
